Over a period of time numerous researches on red wine has shown that red wine is really a healthy drink. A measured drinking of red wine reduces heart diseases and strengthens the heart. The reason behind this is the Mediterranean diet, which includes large use of red wine. Scientists have found that red wine creates some chemicals in the body which clears clogged particles in blood vessels. By this way red wine reduces the chance of heart attack.
Now we look into other benefits of drinking red wine. Drinking red wine is beneficial against cancer according to some studies. Red wine is also instrumental in keeping the blood pressure in control and it lowers the cholesterol level in the blood. Especially French red wine is regarded as the best for its higher percentage of antioxidants. These antioxidant elements of red wine are responsible for many health benefits.
It is true that red wine is good for heart and total health. It is advised that a person should drink red wine in moderation, as consumption of alcohol is not good for health. Certainly in the case of red wine, drinking more will not bring more benefits for health. A glass of red wine for women and up to two glasses of red wine for men is best for health.
Anything above the moderate consumption of red wine is called excessive drinking. As mentioned earlier it actually results in adverse effects on the body. Excessive drinking of red wine reduces brain cell activities and creates concentration failure and low reflexes. The over consumption of red wine also results in insomnia, increase in blood pressure and causes heartburn. Over consumption of red wine directly affects the liver. So moderation is best for all. |
